I agree with you 100%. Althought the DWI issue is relatively loosely tied to New Mexico&#039;s economic success or failure, the pattern is well-established: take away our freedoms and push the burdens on to individuals and businesses first, but don&#039;t use the tools already in place. Government officials are always willing to give themselves more power and control over our lives and the economy, but they often fail to do the small things that are necessary to improve the situation.
Take aviation security as an example. Rather than prohibiting liquids on planes and making passengers disrobe, how about arming pilots or even allowing trained, off duty law enforcement officials  to carry weapons???
