People can't spend money, if they have no money.

Another problem is that RGF's objective is only the accumulation money(greed), not the circulation of money(need).

I have to give Kuddos to 60 Minutes for running that piece. I wish I had known about it before. My almost 19 year old son has been looking for a part time job for about a year. Even he understands that higher minimum wages means less jobs to go around. I think that an age tier might be more acceptable than blanket increase. My son doesn't need to make a living wage - he just needs to be able to pay some bills, buy a bike, put some in savings, and put gas in his car every once in awhile.

While I understand the plight of families and the need to support said family, more than a lot of readers, lots of teenagers and young adults don't need to make a living yet. They just need a part/full time job to help out.

Perhaps people need to be reminded that several years ago the voters rejected a proposed minimum wage increase, but then City Councilor Martin Heinrich led the fight to overturn that rejection and increase the minimun wage against our wishes - which they did!
