To continue the TANSTAAFL (there ain’t no such thing as a free lunch) theme, Medicaid expansion has been touted on big (billions) of free dollars to expand Medicaid health care insurance coverage. It ain’t…

“Free”: These are dollars the Fed doesn’t have and so must print or borrow. Now isn’t that just what we need?
“Coverage”: most of the money is going to expand bureaucracy. Now isn’t THAT just what we need??
“Care”: will be reduced, not improved. Over 30% of MDs nationally cannot afford to accept Medicaid payment schedules, [# who cannot take Medicare is higher]. It is certain that the schedules will be reduced further over time.

So, as we spend money (we don’t have), to pay regulators (we don’t need), while not paying doctors (we also don’t have), WE The Patients get less care. Great deal, huh?!

Make sure we all tell Governor Martinez. I fear she thinks there IS a free lunch on Medicaid.
